Apache Junction High School

Career & Technical Education (CTE) Program

Real Skills. Real Options. Real World Ready.

At Apache Junction Unified School District, CTE isn’t just an elective; it’s a launchpad. Our Career & Technical Education programs give students the tools, training, and confidence to explore future careers while still in high school. Whether they plan to enter the workforce, start a business, or pursue college, AJUSD students graduate real-world ready.

What is CTE?

Career & Technical Education combines academic knowledge with practical, hands-on experience in fields that matter. Students gain both technical skills and life skills—like leadership, collaboration, and communication—that apply across all industries.

CTE helps students:

  • Discover what they’re passionate about
  • Gain workplace-ready skills
  • Earn certifications that open doors
  • Connect classroom learning to real-life careers

Student Benefits

Beyond developing strong academic and technical foundations, students benefit from unique experiences that help them grow professionally and prepare for life after graduation.

Some key benefits include:

  • Gain college and career-ready skills
  • Build a professional portfolio or resume
  • Compete in CTSOs (Career & Technical Student Organizations)
  • Connect with mentors, internships, and local employers
  • Stand out with industry-recognized certifications (where available)
