Apache Junction High School opened its doors to students in 1956. It was established to cater to the educational needs of the growing population in Apache Junction and the surrounding areas. Since then, it has been a community cornerstone, providing education, extracurricular activities, and student opportunities to thrive. Today, Apache Junction High School remains the only high school in the Apache Junction Unified School District, proudly serving students in the communities of Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, and Queen Valley. Apache Junction High School is deeply ingrained in the fabric of the local community. The campus hosts approximately 900 students and highly qualified teachers and staff that serve our students’ diverse and ever-changing educational needs.
