WHAT IS YTP?
The Youth Transition Program is a collaborative year-long program involving Apache Junction High School and the Vocational Rehabilitation Agency.
The goal of the YTP is to teach young adults with disabilities basic employment skills that lead to a career entry training program through a combination of the following services:
Job related instruction
Job placement/Job training
Assistance in transition planning
Job shadowing

YTP MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Youth Transition Program is to “Open Doors” through the implementation of a multi-support system that includes career planning, adult/life skills, and competitive employment with a vocational focus. WHAT ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF YTP?
The experience gained from competitive employment is an extension of the instruction received in the classroom.
The program provides training for career entry individuals to gain basic employment skills at community sites with assistance from the YTP Staff.
Graduation credit is granted upon completion of the Youth Transition Work Experience class.
