ATHLETICS Welcome to the Apache Junction High School Athletics website. HOME OF THE PROSPECTORS! All students are encouraged to get involved with the AJHS Athletic program. We offer numerous activities to join each season. In order to participate, students are required to have a current sports physical and proof of medical insurance on file. This must be done PRIOR to any practices or tryouts. NO EXCEPTIONS! A physical dated on or after MARCH 1 2009 is good for the 2009-2010 school year. If your students physical is dated BEFORE March 1 2009, a NEW physical is required. PAY TO PLAY FEE The $50.00 fee is for all students who are participating in sports. Its is a ONE time payment and covers the student for the entire school year. It is due before the FIRST scheduled game/meet for that particular seasons sport. This fee is NOT associated with any CHEER CAMP, FOOTBALL CAMP, SPEED CAMP or SUMMER PROGRAM FEES YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY PAID. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the bookstore (x5338) to see where your payments were applied. Region Information
Apache Junction is a member of the 4A Division I Desert Sky Region. Schools in the region include Cactus Shadows, Campo Verde, J.O. Combs, McClintock, Poston Butte, Queen Creek and Saguaro.
