Taking a short break from the "Survival Kit" project to work on a 6 trait writing rubric assignment.
Imagine you are a graphic designer creating a tutorial for your website. Write a tutorial of how you created one of the objects in your survival kit. Pay close attention to organizing the information by using opening/closing paragraph, headlines and sequential steps.
We will be analyzing a good example of a tutorial in class.
Rough draft due beginning of class Thursday.
Final draft due end of class Friday.

We are continuing our exploration of 3D Design using 3D Studio Max. This week, we will complete the Materials and Mapping tutorial. When we apply materials(color/texture) to 3D objects and then render them, they tend to look more realistic. Making things look lifelike is one of the ideas that 3D designers typically shoot for. But even when the outcome is supposed to look cartoony, there's lots of room for experimentation with the type of colors and textures you can apply.
Are you tech savvy? Can you tell the difference between real and fake?
